Banco Terra informs its esteemed customers and public in general that, on 13th April this year, the Central Bank increased the rate of Permanent Lending Facility (FPC), from 11,50% to 12,50%.
On 31st March 2010, the last Wednesday of the month, the city of Chimoio in Manica province hosted the opening of a branch of Banco Terra. The ceremony was witnessed by the members of the provincial Government, representatives of the Entrepreneurs Association of Manica and the civil society. The Ambassador of Norway, Tore Bruvik Westberg, was also present in the ceremony.
The Ministry of Transport and Communications held on Thursday, March 4, at the premises of Banco Terra in Maputo, the official handover of the first bicycles and motorbikes requested by public employees, as part of the Project that Promotes the Use of Bicycles and Motorbikes as alternative means of transportation in Mozambique.
Banco Terra inaugurated a branch in Beira City, Sofala province, on 13th January.
The inauguration ceremony, which began its activities on 21st December 2009, was honoured by the presence of the Governor of the Province of Sofala, Dr. Alberto Vaquina and the Mayor of Beira City, Engº Daviz Simango.
Banco Terra officially opened its doors to the public on Monday 14 of December in the city of Chimoio.
On the 4th of December at the Banco Terra branch of Maputo, The Ministry of Transport and Communication (MTC) launched a project which endorses alternative means of transportation in Mozambique such as bicycles and motorcycles.
The Academic Community for development (CADE) honored Banco Terra on the 3rd of December with a certificate for abet towards the activities that sustain the education in Mozambique.
On the 3rd of December 2009, Mr. Francisco Souto (board member) announced a new phase of Banco Terra after two years of their foundation.
Banco Terra has become the first bank in Mozambique to obtain the prestigious “Made in Mozambique” certification at a ceremony organized by the Ministry of Industry & Commerce on December 11th, 2008.
Banco Terra launched Conta 3+ in Maputo and Nampula on December 01, 2008. Conta3+ is the first of many innovative retail products that Banco Terra will introduce in Mozambique.
