About Banco Terra
Banco Terra is a commercial bank with a special focus on the rural areas. It does not directly engage in Micro Finance lending.
Banco Terra objective is to contribute to MDG 1 on poverty eradication. The strategic purpose of the Public Private Partnership (PPP) is to enable that the Bank provides access to a full range of financial services to the rural and peri urban population in Mozambique in a sustainable and viable way.
Special attention will be given to micro-entrepreneurs, SMEs, rural enterprises and agriculture.
It is the ambition of the Partners that through credits and financial services clients in rural areas and peri urban areas will be gradually move out of the present poverty and become independent entrepreneurs, farmers, salesman, shop owners and artisans.
